Massive opportunity for Dragons players in SA20 party

The opening match will see the Mumbai Indians Cape Town taking on the Paarl Royals at Newlands tomorrow (Tuesday, 10 January) at 17:30.

The upcoming SA20 T20 cricket extravaganza is set to get lift off in less than 24 hours with six teams battling it out to decide the best T20 team in South Africa.

The SA20 will have a true IPL (Indian Premier League) influence with the IPL owned teams looking to create a new exciting dawn for SA cricket.

An auction held last year gave hope to numerous SA talents to make their name in a lucrative T20 cricket league for the first time.

The Joburg Super Kings, Durban Super Giants, Mumbai Indians Cape Town, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Pretoria Capitals and Paarl Royals will contest for the prize with the final taking place on 11 February in Johannesburg.

The opening match will see the Mumbai Indians Cape Town taking on the Paarl Royals at Newlands tomorrow (Tuesday, 10 January) at 17:30.

This match could have a NW Dragons flavour with the likelihood of Wesley Marshall (Mumbai Indians Cape Town), Delano Potgieter (Mumbai Indians Cape Town), Duan Jansen (Mumbai Indians Cape Town) all getting a run.

Dwaine Pretorius (Durban Super Giants) and Senuran Muthusamy (Pretoria Capitals) are two other NW Dragons players who are part of the inaugural SA20 party.

Pretorius was one of the highest buys at the auction going for 4.1 million. Muthusamy was chosen as a wild card player and will want to entrust the faith in him with big performances that could go a long way in giving the all-rounder more global opportunities.
