Jansen picks up fantastic five-wicket haul for Dragons

Duan Jansen with 5/32 in 16 overs was the chief destroyer for the Dragons.
Ruan de Swardt (3/24) in 16.2 overs and Migael Pretorius (2/24) in 14 overs also contributed with key wickets.

Jansen struck early this morning (Monday, 6 November) with the wicket of Rudi Second for 67 (130 balls) before knocking off Patrick Kruger to pick up his fifth of the innings.

The Warriors trailed by 196 runs and Dragons captain, Wihan Lubbe, enforced the follow-on. The Dragons had earlier made 426/9 declared in their first innings. 

It looked like a good decision when Kerwin Mungroo (1/18) got the wicket of Diego Rosier caught at slip to leave the Warriors on 5/1 in the second innings.

It got better for the Dragons when Jansen picked up the wicket of Tristan Stubbs with his first delivery to continue his streak.

The Warriors then started to rebuild and fight back through a magnificent century from left-handed opener, Jordan Hermann (112* off 181 balls). He shared in key partnerships with Matthew Breetzke (38 off 90 balls) and Rudi Second (38* off 89 balls) to give the Warriors a lead of 28 runs heading into the fourth and final day tomorrow (Tuesday, 7 November).

The Warriors are currently on 214/3 after 65 overs in their second innings.

Rain is forecast for tomorrow, which could dampen proceedings regarding win for either team.
