Dragons keen to impress in 1-Day Cup

The Dragons are facing the KZN-Inland Tuskers in Pietermaritzburg this Sunday in the first match of the CSA 1-Day Cup.

The North-West Dragons will look to get their hands on silverware for the first time this 2025/26 season when they start the Cricket SA 1-Day Cup this weekend.

The Dragons men are scheduled to face the KZN Inland Tuskers at the Pietermaritzburg Oval on Sunday, March 1, at 10:00. The Dragons will be confident of victory, having had a great record in Pietermaritzburg of late. The Tuskers have been struggling in most competitions and have been carrying the wooden spoon in Division 1.

According to Dragons captain, Wihan Lubbe, the 1-Day Cup presents and opportunity for a hungry Dragons team to show what they are capable of.

“A lot of the guys are looking forward to the opportunity to beat and upset the big teams. We have had a good season and the preparation has been good. We want to end the season on a high note,” he added.

The Dolphins are the defending champions, having beaten Boland in the final last season.
