The North-West Dragons will look to pick up their second win of the CSA 1-Day Cup when they face Boland this coming Saturday, March 7 at the JB Marks Oval.

The Dragons started their campaign with a 72-run win against the KZN-Inland Tuskers last weekend in Pietermaritzburg. A much-anticipated home clash with the Lions was halted by rain and lightning this past Wednesday, March 4, with the match ending in a no-result.

The Lions were in a good position on 229/3 after 42 overs before the weather had the final say. Zubayr Hamza topped scored for the Lions with an unbeaten 115* from 121 balls.

The Dragons will want to capatalise on home advantage against Boland as they aim to stay in the hunt for a spot in the final. Boland beat the Tuskers on Wednesday and are in good form with a balanced team. Grant Roelofsen and Clyde Fortuin are dangerous upfront, with Lehan Botha and Gavin Kaplan forming a solid middle-order. An eye can also be kept on pacers, Glenton Stuurman and Keith Dudgeon.

The Dragons strengths lie in a solid top four with Meeka-eel Prince and Dominic Hendricks showing good form. The middle-order has  been firing with Dian Forrester in good touch. Migael Pretorius has also bowled economically since his return to the fold in tandem with Alfred Mothoa.

The match will start at 13:00.

Tickets are available at Ticketpro and at the stadium.
