Boys High show their skills at Heritage Cricket Festival

Potchefstroom Boys High played some solid cricket picking up two good victories.

The 2026 Heritage Cricket Festival held at Potchefstroom Boys High and Ferdinand Postma High School this past weekend from 7-9 August saw action packed matches across 20 and 50 over formats.

Potchefstroom Gimnasium, Hoër Volkskool Potchefstroom, Fields College, KHS, Prestige College and Beaulieu College from Midrand also joined in on the action.

Potchefstroom Boys High as hosts won their first T20 match against Fields College by 8 wickets. Fields College were bowled out for 78 before Boys High chased it down with 8 overs to spare.

Boys High beat Beaulieu College by 5 wickets in the 50 overs encounter with their spin bowling doing much of the damage.

Beaulieu were 152 all out. Boys High once again chased well to reach the target in 23 overs.

Ferdies had the better of Boys High in their final T20 fixture as they went down by 87 runs. Ferdies made 155 all out before bowling Boys High out for 68.
