WATCH: How Leicester Tigers unveiled new signing Pollard

The Springbok flyhalf will play in England from the 2022/23 season.

English rugby side Leicester Tigers have announced the signing of Springbok World Cup-winning flyhalf Handre Pollard.

The South Africa international joins for the 2022/23 season from French club Montpellier.

The 27-year-old, who has played 60 times for the Boks, was hailed by Tigers coach Steve Borthwick.

“What has impressed me most in our dealings with him has been his desire to be part of what we are building at this club but also his desire to develop, learn and grow as a player and person.

“He is a world class flyhalf with a wealth of experience. He is a World Cup winner.”

Pollard said he was excited to join the Tigers.

“I’m excited to be a part of this great group of players at this special club and challenge myself, test my limits and be the very best I can be for the team.”

Pollard previously played for the Bulls in South Africa and the Red Hurricanes in Japan.
