Evan Roos returns from injury to boost Stormers against Munster

Besides the return to action of the No 8, there are also changes to the starting team that did duty in the Champions Cup last weekend.

Promising No 8 Evan Roos is back in the mix after an injury layoff and will feature from the bench when the Stormers host Munster in a United Rugby Championship match at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is 6.15pm.

There are also four changes to the starting team that did duty against the Exeter Chiefs in the Champions Cup quarter-finals last weekend.

In the pack, Ruben van Heerden partners Marvin Orie in the second row, while Hacjivah Dayimani and Willie Engelbrecht join Ben-Jason Dixon to form the loose trio.

The only change to the backline sees Paul de Wet start at scrumhalf in a rotational switch with Herschel Jantjies, who will feature off the replacements bench.

20 home wins

Coach John Dobson said that his team are looking forward to playing at home as they look to make it 20 consecutive wins at Cape Town Stadium.

“We have had some incredible support at home this season and we know that it will be another special atmosphere on Saturday,” said Dobson.

“This is a great opportunity for us to build some momentum as we head towards the play-offs and with Western Province playing first (in the curtain-raiser) it promises to be another memorable double-header.”

In total, Dobson has been able to include seven Bok players in his starting team, with a further two on the bench.

Stormers: Damian Willemse, Suleiman Hartzenberg, Ruhan Nel, Dan du Plessis, Seabelo Seabelo, Manie Libbok, Paul de Wet, Hacjivah Dayimani, Ben-Jason Dixon, Willie Engelbrecht, Marvin Orie, Ruben van Heerden, Frans Malherbe, Joseph Dweba, Steven Kitshoff (capt). Bench: JJ Kotze, Ali Vermaak, Neethling Fouche, Ernst van Rhyn, Marcel Theunissen, Evan Roos, Herschel Jantjies, Clayton Blommetjies.
