Last week Tuesday Phakaaathi had a feature in which fans from Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs pleaded with the organisers to consider changing the format of the lucrative preseason tournament by inviting other teams to challenge Chiefs and Pirates.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) events manager Puso Makume admits it is possible to have more teams taking part in the off-season event

“Look‚ Carling Black Label is now the official alcohol sponsor of the Premier Soccer League and we do not know what that will bring‚” he said on Monday.

“Our bosses before they give us money to do something else‚ we need to first find the proper research to understand whether it will work.

‘‘So there are a lot of things in the background that are happening that I can’t really even talk about much now.

‘‘But we are listening‚ that’s what I’m saying‚ we are listening, and we are taking everything account that the consumers and fans are fighting about.”
