Pirates release Phungwayo
Orlando Pirates have terminated the contract of defender Patrick Phungwayo.

As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, Phungwayo was facing an uncertain future at the club having played second fiddle to Thabo Matlaba last season.
Now, the club has confirmed his release.

“An agreement has been reached for the mutual termination of the contract following a meeting between both parties yesterday,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“The club would like to thank Mr Phungwayo for his service and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”
