Jordaan predicts bright future for SA national teams
Amajita managed to qualify for the 2019 U20 Fifa World Cup tournament in Poland.

South African Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan said the South African national U20 team, Amajita, qualifying for back to back Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon U20) finals meant the country was on the right path.
Jordaan’s comments come after coach Thabo Senong’s side crashed out of the tournament after losing to competitors Senegal on Wednesday night.
Senong’s side got out of Group A after surviving Niger, Burundi, and Nigeria.
Amajita were booted out of the competition in the semi-finals but still managed to qualify for the 2019 U20 Fifa World Cup tournament in Poland.
South African’s junior national teams have had a good run between 2018 and 2019, taking part in both continental and international competitions.
“It is quite gratifying to see our national teams doing so well, more so the junior national teams, because we are all about football and development. It is clear that we are doing the right things. We are proud of Amajita for adding yet another accolade to the success of the South African Football Association by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup – following hot on the heels of Bantwana and Banyana Banyana,” Jordaan told the Safa website.
