We are in the best position – Pitso Mosimane

Mamelodi Sundowns moved up to No. 2 in the Absa Premiership standings for the first time this season after they defeated Ajax Cape Town 2-0 in midweek.

The defending champions are two points behind leaders Cape Town City, and they happen to hold a two-game advantage over the Citizens. Mosimane believes that they are in pole position to retain their title.

Bafana Ba Style are up against Golden Arrows tonight at the Princess Magogo Stadium, where a victory for them would see Masandawana placed at the summit of the log for the first time in this campaign.

“It is important for us not to lose at Arrows. It is very difficult with Arrows,” lamented the former Bafana Bafana coach whose side were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Clinton Larsen’s youthful side.

“They always give us a hard time, and it is always very difficult for us. I don’t even remember the last time we won there,” said ‘Jingles’.

“It is right to be on top at the right time, and it is not right to be on top too early. We need to be on top at the right time. I am happy where we are, we should stay there. Even if we don’t win against Arrows, or whatever happens, we need to stay there.

“We have two games in hand and then there will be a right time to come up, but now, it is a little bit long. If we get excited, the situation will reverse,” he added.
