SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie responded to a Twitter user questioning why he was nominated for African Player of the Year - based in Africa award.

The twitter user, Njabulo Maseko seems to have misunderstood that the award is meant for players born in Africa.
“Heban. Isn’t African player of the year supposed to be firstly African, why is Brockie here?” tweeted Maseko.
Brockie replied: “Is Messi European?? It’s an award for players playing in Africa.”
The striker’s followers applauded him for his response.
