Chiefs midfielder on Bafana coach’s radar
Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has revealed that he was monitoring in-form Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kearyn Baccus with the view of bringing him into the national team setup.

Baccus, who was born in Durban but grew up in Australia, has been a revelation at Chiefs since joining Amakhosi from Melbourne City at the beginning of the season.
The 27-year-old has played for Australia at junior levels, but has indicated that he is keen to play for South Africa.

“Last week I was also made aware that a Kaizer Chiefs player (Baccus) also qualifies to play for South Africa. So, the monitoring and the profiling has already started to see when to bring him in,” Ntseki told reporters.
“We should bring him in with that understanding to say, ‘What value is he going to add to the team?’.
“Everybody who raises up his hand and say, ‘I want to play for Bafana’, and we will do the right thing. Profiling, assessing and then doing the right observation that we needed to do to bring the player over,” said Ntseki.
Meanwhile, Ntseki revealed that he was also monitoring another SA-born player by the name of Thomas Barkhuizen, who plays for Preston North End in England.
