Ekstein set for final contract talks with Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Hendrick Ekstein is set to meet Amakhosi management to discuss his contract.

The midfielder is in the last few months of his contract with Chiefs and talks between the parties have yielded no positive results so far.

Ekstein’s agent Palesa Mkhize says they have arranged a final meeting with Amakhosi management for next week to discuss the player’s future at the club.

“We will meet with the management on Monday or Tuesday. This will be our final meeting with them,” Mkhize told Isolezwe. “We will know the way forward after that meeting and if we do not reach an agreement, we will open negotiations with other clubs.”

Reports have emerged that Ekstein might have signed a pre-contract with another club during the January transfer period, hence there’s been no progress in talks over a new contract with Chiefs.
