Former Pirates striker Bacela gets stick on social media for commentators tweet

“I swear the psl commentators don’t watch the same game we all watching,” tweeted Bacela.

Former Orlando Pirates striker Lennox Bacela just cannot live his life in peace as fans always remind him of his misses whenever he comments on football matters.

Bacela missed a sitter when Pirates played Al Ahly in the Caf Champions League final in 2013. That was an incredible eight years ago but the supporters have not let it go.

Whenever Bacela comments on current football matters on Twitter, people call him out and remind him of the horrible miss.

It happened again on Thursday morning when the former Bloemfontein Celtic man tweeted about the status of SuperSport TV commentators.

“I swear the psl (PSL) commentators don’t watch the same game(s) we (are) all watching,” tweeted Bacela. He didn’t specify who he was referring to or which games he was unhappy with the commentary.

But this didn’t stop his followers from attacking him.

@SbuMasang replied: “Awuthule mfethu before they bring that CAF picture. (Please keep quiet my brother before they bring up that Caf picture).”

But it was already too late as a few comments after that tagged the picture when he is seen facing an open net.

@Conquer_Modiba posted the picture and captioned it: “Is this you talkin?”

@Kakapa76 said:” After reading his tweet, this pic immediately came to mind.”

But it was @LDMonyethabeng who came up with the most sarcastic reply: “They are always missing a clear point like you missing an open net.”
