Could Chippa United try to get Eymael one more time?

Chippa have tried twice before to bring Eymael to the Eastern Cape.

A source has revealed that Luc Eymael is once again on the candidates list at Chippa United after the club put coach Gavin Hunt on special leave a few weeks ago.

Kurt Lentjies who was until recently a player at the club was handed the reins on a temporary basis while the club finalised the Hunt issue.

It is almost certain that Hunt will not be brought back after his suspension and our mole claims the club are already looking at options and Luc Eymael is one of them.

Chippa have tried twice before to bring Eymael to the Eastern Cape but a public outcry stalled their plans on both occasions. Eymael has however since been cleared by Safa to work in the country.

“They are effectively looking for a new coach and there are not too many options available. You must remember that almost 60% of the coaches available in the PSL at the moment have had their go at the club and many do not wish to go back.

“That limits their options and they would prefer somebody that’s coming from outside but to bring someone who is new to the league is too risky at the moment. Eymael has worked here and knows the culture and players,” said the source.
