Maritzburg United are believed to be negotiating with former coach Ernst Middendorp to come back as technical director so he can continue mentoring Fadlu Davids.

“The issue in being handled professionally because they don’t want Fadlu to feel that if Ernst comes back he would take his job. But the problem is that Ernst had made enemies in the country and some of the people he fought with hold influential positions. This has stalled his comeback as they wanted him back last year already,” said a source.
