Khoza reads Mhango the riot act, told to shape up or ship out

Orlando Pirates boss Irvin Khoza is said to be unhappy with the apparent lack of discipline in the team and has told players to act right or risk being fired. A source said what got Khoza most hot under the collar is the media ruckus caused by Gabadinho Mhango recently.

The Malawian striker was held at some Pretoria nightclub after he had run up a huge bill that he could not afford to pay. He had spent the night with some ladies and the story made the news a few weeks ago.

Mhango was out of the team because of injury at the time and was supposed to be recuperating at home and staying away from crowded places due to Covid-19 restrictions.

“Mhango was lucky that he was not fired because the big boss was really angry. He feels the team is under pressure because the results are not forthcoming but these players have the nerve to go galavanting and partying which sends out a wrong message,” said a source.
