Ajax Cape Town midfielder Mark Mayambela finished spectacularly against Highlands Park on Wednesday night.
Mark Mayambela has joined Ajax cape Town.
Mayambela joined the Urban Warriors at the beginning of the current season along with Lebohang Mokoena.
The 29-year-old’s goal proved to be the only goal from Ajax on the night, giving them all three points.
Ajax have struggled to perform consistently this season, losing 10 of their 23 league games they have played, wining only six and drawing 7.
Wednesday night’s win saw them get a reprieve from plunging into the relegation zone as they moved up to 11th place on the Absa Premiership table.
‘Professor’, as the midfielder is called in football circles, started the movement from outside the box when he passed the ball to a teammate before running into the box for cool finish, chipping the ball over the opposition goalkeeper.
