Mafikizolo celebrates seven times over at Samas

The popular Afro-pop duo Mafikizolo sealed their comeback in triumphant style at the 20th annual South African Music Awards (Samas) by making it a lucky number seven.

The duo won four awards at the main ceremony last night to add to their three trophies at the industry awards earlier in the day. Among the awards they scooped, were album of the year, duo or group of the year, best pop album, best collaboration, best selling ring-back tone, best selling full-track download and best selling mobile music download of theyear.

The 20th anniversary of the Samas was held at the Sun City Superbowl and was one of the top events on the social calender to celebrate SA’s music talent.

Presenters and performers stepped out in style at the awards, dressed by top local designers Anel Botha, David Tlale, Khathatso Tsotetsi, Paledi Segapo and Zano Sithetho.
