WATCH: Natasha Joubert’s new sugar-free energy drink ready to hit the stores

"I can’t wait for South Africans to taste it."

Reigning Miss SA Natasha Joubert has teamed up with MoFaya to launch her own sugar-free flavour energy drink, Berry Queen.

MoFaya is the first proudly black-owned energy drink co-founded by DJ Sbu and Siphiwe Likhuleni Shongwe back in 2013.

Natasha said she is looking forward to Berry Queen to hit the shelves.

She added: “It really allowed me to use my creative side and ignite my mind. The tin is feminine and eye-catching and the flavour is delicious. The product is amazing and I can’t wait for South Africans to taste it.”

Taking to Instagram, she revealed: “I went to the factory on Friday and the first batch has been produced and is making its way into stores! If you see one remember to share a picture with me! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!”

DJ Sbu comments on the Berry Queen partnership with Natasha

MoFaya co-founder, DJ Sbu, said Natasha is a perfect fit for this collaboration. He explained: “We have always wanted our story to ignite passion and inspire those who have started to empower themselves, and those who are thinking of starting a business.

“What better than our reigning queen who is a champion of both education and entrepreneurship – to come on board and inspire others.”

During the Miss SA reality series show ‘Crown Chasers,’ Natasha was named the winner of the Down to Business episode. In the episode, finalists were introduced to MoFaya energy drinks and asked to create their innovative energy drink can and build a business plan or marketing strategy for their product.

MoFaya was also among the list of the main sponsors for the 2023 Miss SA pageant.

Shongwe said their relationship with Miss SA was based on the commonality of shared values.

“We have had a blast working with the Miss SA finalists. The passionate and dynamic young women, making it for themselves and wanting to give back to their communities,” he said in a media statement.
