Mama Esther showered with love
The reason is to show people that the Round Table spends its money for a good cause with assistance from the public to change the lives of those in need.
WHITE RIVER – The White River 64 Round Table is on a drive to emphasise that people have a duty to impact their communities.
It recently completed the 2016 Winter Knights Project by giving away food and clothing to Mama Esther’s Care Centre near White River.
One of the project leaders from the club, Bongani Mhlanga, said the project ran in July and August.
“We identified the orphanage in Umsholozi, called Mama Esther’s Care Centre. We realised the need of assistance the centre is faced with. We then decided as a table this would be a great opportunity for us to get involved in the community,” Mhlanga said.

He added the decision to donate was guided by the needs of the centre.
“The club saw that it is doing really great work but without the community’s assistance it cannot continue to impact the lives of the kids,” he said.
He added that upon their arrival they were welcomed with open arms and prayer. “We met with Mama Ester who is in charge of the orphanage. She gave us a breakdown of what it is about and what it does and took us for a look around the premise,” he said.

The organisation dispersed boxes at various restaurants around White River and collected clothes, blankets and food.
“The Round Table is really satisfied with the donations it was able to give the orphanage. The smiles and songs of praise filled our hearts with joy and made us proud to be able to impact the lives of other people,” he concluded.
