NELSPRUIT – Penryn College has achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for matric pupils for the 16th consecutive year. All 98 pupils qualified to enter tertiary studies, while 88,8 per cent are eligible to enter bachelor’s degrees at a university.
The 2013 grade 12’s achieved 130 distinctions, which works out at 1,33 per pupil. Fifty-four of the 98 matriculants achieved at least one distinction.
More than two thirds of the marks obtained were above 60 per cent.
Several pupils achieved four or more distinctions.
Four distinctions: Danya Maree, André Nel, Erin Slingerland, Kirstin Swanepoel and Danielle van der Merwe.
Five distinctions: Andrea Cook and Jean-Jacques Jordaan.
Six distinctions: Jared de Canha,
Kaylan Lange and Megon Venter.
Seven distinctions: Caroline Buckland.
