UPDATE – MTPA spokesman Kholofelo Nkambule has confirmed that the lion has been darted and captured and will be taken back to the Kruger National Park today.


KOMATIPOORT – MTPA spokesman Kholofelo Nkambule confirmed that there was indeed a sighting this morning after pictures and a video went viral on socal media of a lion walking next to the road.

“Our officials from the MTPA are currently on site. The terrain is bushy so they do not have a clear visual at this stage.”
