Heavy delays on Long Tom Pass

LYDENBURG – A Chrome truck which lost its load on the Long Tom Pass is causing heavy delays and traffic congestion.

The truck lost control at 10:55 this morning when one of its trailers tipped over, causing chrome spillage on the road. Deon Broekman of Rapid and his team was immediately dispatched to the scene.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident. For hours only one lane was open for traffic. Broekman said that the last of the clean-up was currently taking place and that the pass should be completely open in due time.
