Babies born on Christmas morning

Lowvelder visited Mediclinic Nelspruit on Christmas Day. Two families were blessed with their babies being born on Christmas morning.

Yanga and Dimpho Majola’s baby son, Melisizwe Lubanzi Majola, was born at 08:19. Melisizwe and his father are from now on sharing a Christmas birthday. The parents have been at the hospital since Tuesday, waiting for their baby to be born.

Arrie Engelbrecht and Zanthe de Beer welcomed their baby boy, Jacobus Adriaan Schalk Engelbrecht, at 09:09, weighing 2.97kg. Jacobus was born three weeks early and was taken to ICU where he will be monitored.

Mediclinic Nelspruit’s Hhospital manager on call, Nhlanhla Khanyile, provided gifts to the two families and congratulated them on having their babies on Christmas day. 
“It is a blessing witnessing babies being born on such a special day and we are grateful to be involved with the families’ big day,” he said.
