Family pleads for food and clothing donations
A 31-year-old single mother, Lindiwe Marimbe, is appealing to Good Samaritans to help her and her family with clothes, food and other social relief amenities.
Marimbe shares a one-roomed shack with three family members in KaMdladla outside Malalane.
The family relies on the child support grants of her son to survive.
“Life is very tough for us. We stay in a one roomed-shack with our mother. Our father passed away in 2019. The situation is even worse now with the rain pouring down on a daily basis. We are deeply affected because our shack has holes in and it’s leaking inside,” said Marimbe.

“We are only getting money from my son’s social grant to survive. I am still struggling to find a job. I have only completed Grade 12, but couldn’t pursue my studies further because I had no South African ID at that time,” she added.
“We are asking for donations. It can be anything such as food and clothes,” Marimba pleaded. Inside the shack there is only one bed that is an old mattress standing on bricks.
She said that the one bed they are all sharing was donated to them by their former mother’s employer years ago.
Anyone who would like to help this family, can do so by contacting Tsakane Shabangu on 071 116 1211.
