BREAKING: SAPS sergeant arrested for teen rape

MBOMBELA – An SAPS sergeant was arrested after he allegedly raped a 17-year-old.

The girl was at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court for shoplifting when the sergeant allegedly took her away from other detainees.

He has appeared in court, but was released on bail of R500.

He is scheduled to appear again on October 30.

Police spokesman, Lt Col Erhard Stroh, confirmed the sergeant’s appearance in court as well as the charges against him.
