WATCH: Fire under control at Joubert & Seuns
A veld fire that spread close to Joubert & Seuns warehouse is under control.
SCHOEMANSKLOOF – According to Joubert & Seuns general manager Lionel Eva, the veld fire started in the Elandshoek area and spread along the Elands River until it reached their property.
“Plastic containers caught fire near the warehouse but no significant damage was done. The fire is now under control.”
Lowveld and Escarpment Fire Protection Association (Lefpa), Andre Scheepers said they had sent teams to the area to combat the fire.
