Man killed in early morning collision with sugar cane truck
A Nkomazi resident died early this morning when his vehicle crashed into a sugar cane truck between Malelane and the Nkomazi Toll Plaza.
MALALANE – Close to where a traffic officer was killed in a collision in September, another Malelane-based traffic official died in a crash.
His vehicle collided with a sugar cane truck on the N4 near the Nkomazi Toll Plaza, towards Malalane, around 00:30 this morning.

No other injuries were reported.
Motorists are urged to be very careful when travelling through Nkomazi at night as visibility is very limited. Also take extra care as there are many large sugar cane trucks on the road at all hours of the day. Ensure that you maintain a safe following distance and adhere to the speed limit.
