One of KNP’s favourite stops to get a whole new look and added services
Afsaal, a rest stop in the Kruger Park between Malalane and Skukuza, is currently undergoing renovations and, by end of next year, will feature an overnight hide and a spa.
MALALANE – Afsaal, a favourite stop for many locals and regular visitors to the Kruger National Park, will soon sport a brand-new look and several new features.
It is currently being renovated but temporary facilities have been set up for visitors.

Tindlovu Management Services has been managing the rest stop since October 2016 and explained that work will be done in three phases.
They plan to first complete the Tindlovu Express, which will offer light meals like pies and sandwiches and delicious coffee. It is set to open in the middle of December.
The curio shop will have a new look and feature unique new items for sale.
A spa, with a full range of treatments, is next on the list of construction, followed by an overnight hide and guided walks. Tindlovu aims to complete this in the last few months of 2019.
Afsaal’s new “African lodge” look will be modelled after Tindlovu’s restaurant in i’langa Mall in Mbombela. The restaurant was also the prototype for Tindlovu’s other restaurants at Punda Maria, Shingwedzi, Mopani, Letaba, Olifants, Satara and Berg en Dal.
Work on these restaurants will start next year and they will feature new menus, with Tindlovu promising exciting and delicious new dishes.
