Your help is needed to feed the needy in Komatipoort this Saturday
Spread festive cheer and charity at the Community Soup Kitchen on December 19 from 14:00 to 17:00 at United Church of Christ the King in Gilfillan Street in Komatipoort.

Everyone knows that the festive season is all about giving and about making others happy. That is why Aida Schutte has taken on the challenge to give to as many as she can this December.
“It has always been a wish for me to be able to something like this one day, and now that day has come,” says Schutte. With the help of the community, her wish has come true.
“I am so thankful to everyone that has contributed and that is helping out. It shows that we can do a lot with very little when we stand together.”
She says that it costs very little, taking into account the unnecessary things we buy, to offer someone a cup of soup once a year.

“I took on this project with the hope that more people will participate in the future and that we can really make Christmas a time of giving,” she says.
“We can’t always expect to just receive in life. We have to be able to give back because that is what life is all about: balance.”
If anyone would like to volunteer, donate, or just spend the afternoon with the community, please contact Schutte on 076-919-6557.
