Nkoro victorious at Sehloi after penalty shoot-out

The festive season soccer tournaments have started in most villages around Fetakgomo Tubatse. A top eight soccer tournament was played at Mabocha Village this past weekend at Sehloi sport ground.
The tourney was won by Nkoro FC. The team from Thabakhulwane defeated Motshana’s Gordons FC 5-4 on penalties.
The teams drew 0-0 in 90 minutes of play. According to tournament organiser, Hope Maunye, more soccer matches are lined up for the festive period.

On the day, the losing finalist, Gordons said they will regroup and bounce back.
“We are playing in Mooihoek this weekend. We will put this result behind us and focus on the upcoming games. The boys played well and were unlucky to lose on penalties, “said the management of Gordons. The winning
team took home a cash prize of R5 000 and they celebrated by having a braai and drinks.
