Two suspects arrested for hijacking and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition
Two suspects were arrested by the Nelspruit Hawks` Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit, Crime Intelligence and the Nelspruit Flying Squad in Sabie yesterday, for vehicle hijacking and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
According to the Flying Squad Unit, the two suspects, aged 29 and 32, were driving a vehicle that had been hijacked in KaBokweni earlier in December, when a tracking company followed up on their GPS coordinates to locate the vehicle and alerted the unit.
Upon noticing they were being tailed by the police and members of the tracking company, the suspects fled into a bush nearby and were later picked up by an accomplice.
