This Day-Night match will take place on Saturday, 16 September at the J.B. Marks Oval and will kick start a new era for the North West Dragons in their new kit.

Victory will be the perfect result for a determined Dragons side, which features a vast variety of experienced players and young guns ready to make a name for themselves on the field.

The new signings include, Wihan Lubbe (captain), Migael Pretorius, Ruan de Swardt (all-rounders), Raynard van Tonder, Lesiba Ngoepe, Meeka-eel Prince, Rubin Hermann (batsmen) and Gideon Peters, Bamanye Xenxe, Hlompho Modimokoane (bowlers).

Proteas all-rounder, Senuran Muthusamy as well as Lesego Senokwane, Duan Jansen, Grant Mokoena, Kerwin Mungroo and Caleb Seleka are the retained players who will form part of the squad for the One Day Cup.

An injury blow for the Dragons is the unavailability of fast bowler, Xenxe, who will miss the One Day Season after picking up an injury in pre-season. He will most likely be out for at least 3 months.

Raynard van Tonder and Lesiba Ngoepe provides batting stability and flair, whilst all-rounders Migael Pretorius and Ruan de Swardt, could prove to be match winners with bat or ball.

“We are moving in a very exciting direction. A lot of the players have represented teams all around the world. Hopefully we can play exciting cricket can grow the love of the game in North West,” added NW Dragons One Day captain, Wihan Lubbe.
