Kambole tipped for success at Chiefs

Baroka FC coach Wedson Nyirenda says striker Lazarous Kambole could be a great signing for Kaizer Chiefs as they look to rebuild for next season.

Kambole is linked with a move to Naturena in the coming season from Zesco United in Zambia.

An official from the Zambian club has confirmed that the deal is almost done and that the striker has already been to Naturena to discuss personal terms with Amakhosi while he is in South Africa representing Zambian in the 2019 Cosafa club.

Nyirenda, who is a former Chiefs and Zambia international believes Kambole can help Chiefs win silverware next season.

“Currently we don’t know what kind of team Chiefs will be like next season as they are busy off-loading and recruiting players‚” Nyirenda was quoted by TimesLIVE.

“But from what I know of Kambole‚ a player who went through all the development stages in Zambia‚ I think he can be of great help to Chiefs in resolving their goal-scoring problems.

“He’s very good on the ball‚ can space well and his shooting is absolute class as we’ve seen in CAF matches with Zesco in recent years. I would say Chiefs will see the value in Kambole if he’s surrounded by other hungry players.

“The fact that Khama Billiat is there should help him a lot in adapting quickly to the fast-paced PSL game.”
