City sign former Chiefs striker

Cape Town City have announced the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Matthew Rusike.


City confirmed the signing on their official Twitter account on deadline day on Wednesday.

Rusike returns to the PSL having left South Africa in June 2015 to join Angolan side, CD Nacional.

The former Chiefs striker then went on to play for Halmstad and Helsingborgs  IF in Sweden.

Last season, the Zimbabwean international played for Tunisia’s Club Africain.

City says the player arrived in Cape Town on the last day of the transfer window to join Benni McCarthy’s side.

According to City, Rusike had offers from Europe but decided to join City after arriving from Stockholm on Wednesday night.
