Don’t put pressure on Bafana – Pitso

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has cautioned against expecting too much from Bafana Bafana in the Africa Cup of Nations this June.

The senior national team qualified for the continental spectacle set to be staged in Egypt and Mosimane has urged the nation not to apply pressure on Stuart Baxter’s side.

“Well done to the whole team and Stuart Baxter. Percy Tau did well and the goalkeeper (Darren Keet) was good. The whole team was good but I am just mentioning those ones because they had outstanding performances,” Mosimane told reporters on Thursday.

“It is good for us, let us not pressurise them and say they must win it. They have done well and we have qualified,” Mosimane added.

The former Bafana coach continued: “Let us give them the space and let the team come up because the World Cup is coming and let us build for the World Cup. It is up to Stuart on how he selects the team for the tournament.”
