Eymael relishing Celtic challenge

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Luc Eymael is looking forward to leading Siwelele out of the bottom six on the log table.

Coach Eymael resigned from Polokwane City a week ago before he was announced as the new mentor at Phuyanya Sele Sele.

The Belgian mentor did a sterling job leading Rise and Shine to seventh place on the Absa Premiership table before leaving.

“First, you know I resigned for private reasons, and because I couldn’t agree on different things that happened in the club [Polokwane City] the last couple of weeks, so I was open and got offers,” Eymael told KickOff.

“Why I chose Celtic? Because it is a well-structured club, with a good history, good accommodation and good fans.

“I also think they have players that, if they respond well and work hard, can improve and that together we can succeed in the challenge. I also wanted to stay in South Africa.

“I didn’t choose the easiest challenge, but I’m a man of challenges,” he declared.
