Nyirenda said the breaks are killing momentum for the teams and also killing the fun for the supporters who have to waits for weeks before witnessing local actions again.

“I don’t like having as much breaks as we have been having,” said Nyirenda.  “It is not good for the teams. This season is quite strange. You play two league games and then you go for a two weeks break. You play another two games and go for three weeks break,” he added.

His team last played on October 2 and their next game will only be on the weekend of October 18-20 and Nyirenda feels this gap is a bit too much.

“It’s not good for the teams and also the fans. The gap is just too much. We need these breaks because we need to play international games and learn from teams who are playing international matches. But if we are going to have frequent breaks like this it kills the rhythm of the teams and then the league is not interesting,” he said.
