Larsen rejects big offers, happy to stay in ABC Motsepe League

There were a few clubs who enquired about his availability including Chippa but he declined, reveals the source.

Former top-flight coach Clinton Larsen has rejected offers to return to professional level again. A source close to Larsen has revealed to Phakaaathi that he had offers that were tempting but he needed the time away.

“He had wanted to move out of the country and coach elsewhere when he was introduced to the project of Summerfield Dynamos and he liked it. He had wanted a fresh start and felt he had been running around chasing his own tail in the PSL.

“He feels good being out of rotation there and he gets to learn and practise new ways without the same pressure. He will get back when he feels he has recharged enough.

“There were a few clubs who enquired about his availability including Chippa (United) but he declined and explained to them that he needed this break,” said the source.

Larsen guided the KwaZulu–Natal side to the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup and they also won the League in KZN and are awaiting the national play-offs to see if they qualify for the GladAfrica Championship.
