Mokwena earmarked for bigger role at PSL club

Chippa United boss Siviwe Mpengesi is considering speaking to Orlando Pirates counterpart Irvin Khoza to ask him to release his assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena so he can appoint him as head coach at his team.

Phakaaathi Plus has learnt that Mpengesi tried to lure Mokwena while he was at Mamelodi Sundowns but he opted to join the Buccaneers instead.

“Mokwena has shown his capabilities and Chippa has always admired him. He even once asked Pitso Mosimane if he would be willing to let him go if they made an offer for him,” said a source.

Baroka are also said to admire Mokwena.
