Ramagalela ready to face former employers in MTN 8 semi-final

Highlands Park striker Rodney Ramagalela says he has made peace with what happened to him while he was at Polokwane City.

Ramagalela was frozen out at City and forced to training on his own for the second half of last season because he refused to sign a new contract.

The 30-year-old striker left Rise and Shine after his contract expired at the end of the season and moved to Highlands Park.

Ramagalela said he was ready to face his former side but would not let what the Limpopo based club did to him be used as motivation.

“Look, football is like a circle, I don’t think having grudges with them will help me. Instead, it will make me angry and I won’t perform like I used to. I just have to put all behind me and play for Highlands Park, the rest is history,” Ramagalela explained.

“Their last league game (0-0 against Chippa United) was not televised, so we didn’t watch it. We must not undermine them, they are a good team, they are playing well. But I believe we know few things about them, we just have to neutralise their best players, including Mohammed Anas,” said Ramagalela.

“I think the coaches prepared us to have a better game. We just have to go out there and do our job.”
