Union slams Polokwane over Ramagalela’s treatment

Polokwane City striker Rodney Ramagalela remains in exile at the team without a chance to play until the end of the season.

City claim Ramagalela is put on ice because he broke club rules however they keep on postponing the ruling on his disciplinary hearing.

South African Players’ Union (Safpu) vice president Calvin Motloung says City have not informed them about the ruling on Ramagalela’s cas.

“We are aware of what Polokwane City is trying to do. They are trying to push until the end of the season for his contract to expire,” Motloung was quoted as saying by Isolezwe.

“They want to pay the outstanding amount owed to him for his contract. We need an explanation or we will be forced to take further steps against the team.”

The former Mamelodi Sundowns striker’s contract with Rise and Shine expires in June. He has since signed a pre-contract with Highlands Park.
