Pirates fans interact with players through a chat room

Orlando Pirates have given their supporters a platform to interact with their players while there are still no certain dates on when the league will resume following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

With the football activities suspended, the club has made it easy for the fans to keep up-to-date with their favourite stars through a chat room exclusively on the Pirates application.

In the latest chat room, the club’s fans got to interact with defender Innocent Maela and striker Gabadinho Mhango.

One of the users by the name of Lesiba Zabs Selema asked Maela what he has been up to since the lockdown.

“I’ve been training at home and reading books to keep my mind active, but mostly it’s been training. I have my workouts,” the defender replied.

Another user by the name of Thabang Phukane wanted to know what the defender and the club’s intentions are when the season reopens.

“Our intention is to try to win every match. We play like we always try to.”

Meanwhile, two other fans asked Mhango why he wears jersey number seven and what keeps him going.

The striker simply replied by stating that his favourite player wears the same number and says prayer, his family and supporters keep him going.
