Lil Nas X fans out over ‘Blood & Water’ season two

American rapper Lil Nas X couldn't help but share his excitement for the upcoming season of Netflix SA's 'Blood & Water' and SA loves it.

Blood & Water fans arent the only ones excited about season two of the series after a teaser clip was released on Monday.

US rapper Lil Nas X is also hyped ahead of the upcoming season in September and he shared his enthusiasm by commenting on Netflix SA’s Twitter page.

Season one of Blood & Water left fans with the biggest cliffhanger.

The story followed 16-year-old Puleng Khumalo’s (Ama Qamata) journey as she investigates the cold case of her older sister, who was abducted at birth.

Puleng suspects that popular girl Fikile Bhele (Khosi Ngema) is her sister and goes to extreme lengths to find the truth by transferring to the elite school Fikile attends.

Whether the truth will resurface following the revelation of the DNA results, Netflix says the drama will test old alliances and friendships.

Well-known talents such as Natasha Thahane, Gail Mabalane, Cindy Mahlangu, Thabang Molaba, Arno Greeff and Dillon Windvogel return to reprise their roles.

We’re not surprised to find out that Lil Nas X can’t wait for the drama of Blood & Water season two. The rapper’s latest singles – Call Me By Your Name (Montero) and Industry Baby – have caused quite a stir of their own.

The hypersexualised videos and content of his songs have divided public opinion. In Montero, Lil Nas X can be seen lap dancing for a man that appears to be the devil.

In an interview with Insider, he said the song was more about the pressures he faces in music after coming out as gay in 2019. He also said his music was about his sexuality and the homophobia he experiences.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Lil Nas X has received a lot of hate and criticism from religious groups and right-wing politicians.

However, the rapper has managed to stay ahead of his haters.

“The sh** y’all say about me would drive me crazy if I didn’t already love myself,” he tweeted on Monday.
