WATCH: Siv Ngesi shares violent attack on Zebra, compares it to being a woman in SA

As a dazzle of zebras crosses a river, one is separated from the rest by two crocodiles, that violently tears the animal apart.

South African actor and comedian, Sivuyile Ngesi, popularly known as Siv Ngesi’s dry humour has left social media unimpressed.

The comedian misfired on Tuesday when he took to his Instagram account to share a very violent video of a zebra being attacked by two crocodiles.

Captioning the video post he wrote: “(Not an easy watch) Being a woman in South Africa is just like this!”

In the video clip, of which the origin is unknown, a dazzle of zebras can be seen crossing a river. One zebra, however, gets separated from the group, landing directly into the path of a big crocodile, who was keeping a very close eye on its prey.

The zebra tries to keep its cool, standing dead still in the water, its head lowered to its chest when the crocodile lunges forward hoping to clip and muzzle the zebra’s mouth.

Even as the zebra manages to pull its head free from the crocodile’s sharp teeth a second crocodile blocks it and launches another attack.

What follows next is extremely sensitive footage showing the crocodiles’ violent attack to make a meal out of the poor Zebra.

Siv Ngesi compares violent zebra attack to being a woman in SA

Scores of followers took to the comment section to share their shock about the sensitive and violent footage.

Many found the analogy to be misplaced.

One Instagram follower said: “This is traumatising to watch * sensitive content.”

Ngesi replied to the comment saying, footage of a zebra being attacked was no more sensitive than women getting murdered in SA.

But another follower Art of Micke responded saying while they fully agreed with his message it was rather “very triggering to see a zebra’s face being split open, you don’t actually think of a woman being murdered in that instant”.
