The American singer slayed in a yellow Gert-Johan Coetzee original couture, sparking a debate online about who wore it better between her and South African media personality Bonang Matheba.

South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee dressed American superstar Chloe Bailey for The Little Mermaid world premiere in Hollywood on Monday. The singer graced the Disney blue carpet in a yellow Gert-Johan Coetzee original couture gown from the designer’s #GERTFollowingTheSun Collection.
Chloe’s sister Halle Bailey stars in the Disney film as Ariel, alongside legendary actress Melissa McCarthy who portrays the character of Ursula.

“Who wore it better”
Social media has been a buzz as netizens debated about who wore the dress better between Chloe and Bonang Matheba.
Bonang wore the dress last year at Standard Bank’s Top Woman Awards ceremony.

Earlier this month, Gert dressed American actress Gail Bean in one of his stunning designs. Gail is popularly known for her roles in several movies including Grace, Unexpected, Skin in the Game, and many more.
Gert is also the designer behind three of Lerato Khanyago’s Metro FM Music Awards garments. The TV and radio presenter hosted the awards this past weekend alongside Katlego Maboe as the awards made an unexpected return this year after being on a hiatus since 2017.
