Songs of Praise 2018 this Sunday

Make sure you get to the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk before 15:00.

MBOMBELA – With three choirs, a word-class conductor and beautiful instruments, this year’s Songs of Praise is back to inspire Lowvelders to sing along with jubilant hymns.

The festival is back at the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk on August 26 and will start at 15:00. As usual, the world-famous Richard Cock will lead the show and will be supported by local organist Tobias Kruger. The Lowveld Community Orchestra and Braam van Tonder are once again part of the programme.

Cock is chairman of the Apollo Music Trust, and with Florian Uhlig, he directs the Johannesburg International Mozart Festival, which is held every January. The Laudate Choir will be the anchor choir of the show. They recently received a silver medal at the World Choir Games (WCG) in Pretoria.
