An 18-year-old girl, allegedly abducted after a party two weeks ago, was found in Durban on Thursday evening and returned home by friends who spotted her at a tavern.
Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) was contacted by the mother of a female pupil from an eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, high school on Thursday evening at about 9:51pm, asking for assistance after her return.
So, Rusa officers arrived at the home and interviewed the parent. The mother informed them that her daughter attended a party on 16 April with four friends at a home in Cotton Lands, but never made it home.

It turns out that the missing teenager had been dropped off by three men known to the family, after they had stopped her in a township in Durban.

The girls allegedly accompanied the men to a nightclub, where they accused one of the girls of stealing drugs.

“As punishment, they all were plied with cocaine and forced into a room and repeatedly gang-raped by several men,” Rusa said in a statement on Thursday night.
The teen added she could not recall the finer details of her ordeal except that there were multiple men present in the dark room.
The 18-year-old said that after the alleged gang rape, she was loaded into a vehicle and kept in a room at an unknown location from 16 April.

“She recalled being given an injection in her arms often and could not confirm if she was prostituted by the suspects,” Rusa said.
The teen got a chance to escape on Thursday evening while at a tavern in Durban with her alleged captors. Rusa said three males from the victim’s high school noticed her and transported her back to her home.
Rusa called the South African Police Services to the residence, and officers handed over the matter for the registration of a criminal case and further investigation.
